CRITICAL ILLNESS COVER (CIC)

Critical illness cover (CIC) pays out a lump sum if you are diagnosed with certain illnesses. The illnesses covered will be specified in the policy along with any exclusions - these differ between insurers. CIC policies usually only pay out once. CIC does not provide a replacement income.
